corners came crumbling
awake
&then you wake up with the knowledge that nothing like that will ever happen.
"Out on the wall sounds of banging is constant coming from your head And desperate the calls came and ringing from those wanna wring your neck Open your mouth sounds of breathing found it spilling from your faceBest to be dim to the humble of traffic stomping on your nameCount on us all follow our own swords tonight"Nick&Norah Forever.
done
I am done with people calling me fat and ugly and __(insert degrading girlish stereotype here)__.
I am me. You do not live my life. And whatever choices I make and however I look does not affect you, how you live and survive. So get on with your life, earn more money and die alone.
Thankyouverymuch.
funny
It's funny how life works. You can be so sure that things now are right and perfect and sweet then God throws you a curve ball. It's almost surreal. Somewhat like a movie. But you know that this is not going to end in two hours and with a happy ending. This is not something that you can detach yourself from, earn recognition and millions from. This is real life.
I can almost see no wrong that she did to you. What was going through your mind? Haven't you gone through enough? And we've all been very open to you and almost embraced you as one of us. So what went wrong? Humiliation is something that a person can get over. Being blinded makes us stronger and wiser. But tarnishing your own name, is your own undoing and can almost never be undone.
Now look what you've done. Don't blame her for it. I hope you're proud of yourself.
songs
I love Viva Forever by The Spice Girls and 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins.
Goodbyes and reckless rebellion in the 90s.
Did you know that there are tales of elves/faeries who whisper to children and sing them songs to lull them to sleep or to hypnotize them? And then these elves or faeries take these children and keep them and make them their own? And they're lost to the real world. Lost to the forest.
Chilling as it is, I find it very beautiful.
love
"Sing Theresa says, sing
Happy things.
One day a man will spring,
Worth loving."
Don't worry.
My resolutions for 2009:
- Stop speaking Singlish (or try)
- Stop skipping classes
- Improve grades
- Become a better person
- Be a catalyst for change
- Volunteer (or try)
- Save up for LVPP (London, Venice, Paris, Prague)
Here's to a better year. Not that 2008 was a year for complaining. Thank you for sticking with me.
parrots
I adore my two little birdies. Absolutely love them to bits and pieces. But I realised that my brother and I have been taking them for granted and kind of leaving their cages in a mess because we're just too lazy to clean up the poop.
I would feel totally guilty if they died of suffocation. I mean sometimes in the morning, I'm too lazy to get up and take off the cloth covering their cage. But at night, to leave them without the cloth, with it being cold, with insects and other stuff crawling about, I just cannot bear leaving the cage open.
I fear the day that I would see them plucking their feathers, getting sick, suffering and/or dying. I'm not ready for it. They poop, they're noisy, they're a nuisance at times but they're like my siblings with wings. They're much too cute. Espescially when they stretch their wings. Best part of my day. God, I love them.
My biggest fear: Waking up to find them gone.
beautiful day
i'm packed next week.
oh my me.
and i've so much plans!
i did the most irrelevant things with my gal pal yesterday. we went to little india to find things for drama and we shopped pretty much like mad. so we went to eat first made plans to thread eyebrows and watch a movie. both of which didn't happen. instead, we did henna tattoos, cabbed to the cathay only to find that all the movies were pretty much crap (to me at least. heh!) and headed to starbucks to have our weekly fix (yeah, we feed that much money to starbucks). so then we got a call from the other gal pal who shall not be named coz she's just too kental, and we met up with her at wisma. she had dinner with her
cool uncle (heh.) at indochine. we walked to far east with a little detour to borders to buy nylon (which has uber cool lily allen on the cover). so me and fazzeh got
purple extentions at far east! WOOHOO!!!! it's fantab! still looks a little too stiff right now but seriously, i love the peek-a-boo effect of it i don't really give a toss. i reckon it'll lose its cheena rebonded look soon. i think?
oh wells, the brother got home at 9am. i thought he got into an accident. i actually called him to ask where he is. honestly! i'm becoming so motherly. GOSH!
he's off again to sentosa to go get some rays and contaminate the water with his
kopet-ness. i need to get shoes for tomorrow and i've no idea where i can get them.
crazy bird is wawa-ing like mad. i'm gonna go strangle him now. okay, bye.
