yuck
It pisses me off when you've complained about something and then ask for one few months later.
I don't want it anymore. I don't want to do it. I don't.
I've always had the notion that when the new year comes around things are going to be very different. Like fashion will take on a whole new level. Scrape out all the "trends" of the past year and come out with wholly new ones and not manifestations of past designs. New buildings will sprout from the ground and new advances in technology will suddenly announce themselves in the papers.
But that's not the case. The past year and the "new" year blurs with one another. Not much different from today or tomorrow. It's like if you were living in a hole, with no communication with the outside world, you won't see or psychologically feel the difference. Honestly, what is "change" in the "new year"? It's practically like how you age really. Do we really and truly carry ourselves more differently when we turn a certain "life changing" age? Do we walk taller, speak more eloquently and become smarter and wiser overnight? Granted, when we reach a certain milestone age, say 30 or 40, we start thinking about different things and stop doing certain things and we then start feeling "the age". But does it really matter when we're transitioning from say 14 to 15 or 31 to 32? To me, it really doesn't change much. It's not like you're getting retired, or getting your period, or whatever. The Earth ages and she's still pretty much her same, polluted self.
Age, to me, is just a blur of life. A ticking of the soul. Because even if it wasn't recorded (the day you were born), you'd still feel it counting down.
