beautiful children
thanks to hafiz, i trembled in the dentist chair while he happily drilled, poked and godknowswhat around with my tooth. everyday that i went to the dentist, i brought along my jade pendant to keep me "safe" so to speak (cause they say jade stones help dispel bad thoughts).
so while he punctured my tooth, dislocated my jaw, and sucked up all my stray saliva, i stared up at the fan, the flourescent lights, and ceiling. shaking, shaking, shaking. i was seriously scared. and eventhough i didn't feel any pain, i was always anticipating the lightning bolt of pain to shoot up to my brains. so eventually after cleaning out all my roots and removing the nerves, he stuffed in some cotton wool and temporarily sealed it. there you go, a stuffed tooth.
three appointments. and at the end of each, i was left with a throbbing tooth. the third was the worst with him sticking painkiller and injecting fluid in at the most painful part of the root. i could've just killed him. it still hurt and i realised i had to stop chomping on it to stop it from hurting after the whole procedure. it will heal in a few more weeks. either that or i'll have to have it extracted. and i don't want that. 9000TK lost. about $200. for a root canal and light filling re-done. in tooth coloured filling. very nice might i say :)
it still hurts a little today, but that's cause i bit on it too hard yesterday. i won't for the next few days. here's hoping to a full satisfactory recovery.
i remember the times when escalators were so fun to get on.
and a up till a few days ago, i assumed that everyone knew how to get on escalators.
these two Banglas (i suppose they were from some village but what they were doing in Dhaka, i can't imagine) were waiting at the start of the escalators. and when i said excuse me, one of them ran away dang it. HAHA!
while the other one, practically jumped on it. on a perfect rectangle.
there was another one too, already on the escalator shouting instructions to the other two.
when he got to the top, he jumped off it like from a meter away. HAHA
talk about rural.
